Would you try Propecia for the 3rd time?

I have been on propecia 2 times now, with good results, but eventually with sides.

First time got really good results and had no sides for 5 years.

Next time was a few years ago- that time I used smaller doses only ~2 times a week.
After about a year, I got sides again.

I have been off of it about 2 years now. When I went off I gradually lost the hair that it gave me in the crown and now crown is growing again to the point you can see the outline in the back. Pictures taken by relatives over the holidays show the outline clearly and I can't hide it anymore

So I am at the point that I need to make a choice: Accept it or get back on propecia before it's too late.

I don't think propecia is the sole cause but rather a catalyst . Weight gain seems to be a big part of it,though some say propecia helps put on the weight...just not sure.


I still care, but not as much as when I was younger. GF doesn't care, family doesn't care. Maybe 2 women friends who used to tease me about but that's not a big deal like it was when I was younger.

So what would you do if you were me?

Why did you stop the first time if everything was good and no sides? Did it stop working? Sorry if I missed but that just wohldnt make sense unless money problems but hell if its working and no side effects id continue, but in all honesty I think if your gf doesn't care and your can accept it for yourself then I think its time to just stop messing around and let nature take its course. However easier said then done.

No I stopped after 5 years because at the 5 year mark is when I got the sides. Second time after about 1 year.
One thing that seems to counter them is to run and I am thinking about starting again when It gets a little warmer, regardless if I go back on propecia or not. Weird, I know, but for some reason running gives my sex drive a huge increase ..
