Whats the earlyiest you can start having negative effects with Propecia?

I just started taking 1mg propecia a week ago today. I did a lot of research on the drug before I started and I must say I was worried about the inabilaty to gain an errection side effect the most. I am only 23 so I didn't think it would be a problem for me.When I started I must say that the first day I already noticed a weaker erection than I used to have. Also I found it a little harder to keep it up and ejaculate. I think that it is way too early to tell if I am one of those nlucky ones that do get that effect from the drug. Or could it be that I am just thinking about it too much and causing a placebo effect on myself. I have some questions and am hoping to draw some knowlege from Propecia Veterans.

When is the earlyiest you will have these side effects if ever?
Is there a adjustment period your body has to make when you start up on the drug?
Do the side effects ever resolve themselves with time?
If you skip a day between doses will that help with the negative effects?

nassau.....I think it is way to earley to have any side effect that would cause you not to have an erection! i totally believe you are experiencing the placebo effect and playing mind tricks on yourself! I do it to myself to this day....I'll explain, I got on propecia about 7 years ago when i was in a steady relationship....NO PROBLEMS at all! As soon as I am in a new relationship I have a few issues in the very begining but once I am cofortable I an like a rabbit! I can go 2-3 times a day with no problem.....sex or masterbation! lol I have this mental thing but its only in the begining! So give it some more time and see what happens, I think in the end it will turnout to be completely mental! best of luck!

Thanks for the words of confidence bighosedragger. By the way how were the resluts with propecia? were you taking it to keep your hair or to thicken it up? I am taking it to thicken up my hair. I am planning to keep my hair prety low for a few months and then let it grow back to see how it did.

its probably a placebo effect.

I took propecia for like.. a week or so and I felt like the tip of my dick was getting cold and un-responsive. I dont know how to describe it. it freaked me out.

I dropped the stuff and noticed that...sometimes the tip of my dick gets cold when its cold... lol. I guess maybe because I thought about it so hard I freaked.

I dont take propecia anymore... but thats just cause it scares me. BUT while I was taking it I will say it was probably all in my head.

Just wonder do you see any positive results after taking propecia for 7years?
Any regrowth? Or it just only stops your hairloss?
When do u start to see results in your case?
I have taken for almost 2 mths, still waiting to see results although not experiencing any side effects yet..

i had side effects about an hour after I took the drug... don't listen to them.. you can have side effects that fast...

Hey man,
I felt the same way you did when I first started the drug. But honestly it takes weeks before Propecia changes your dht levels, so any effects you had with in a hour of taking the pill is all in your head. I had the same thing happend to. I remeber taking the pill then looking at porn and thought oh my god, I not getting hard right away, I haver e.d.!! But after I stoped stressing about it so much, I started gaining errections like normal. And after your body adjust to the pill after a month or so you will start having those random hard on's on old. The only thing that I have noticed is that I don't wake up with moring wood anymore. But, I can live with that as long as I can get it up when it comes to game time So anyways, don't give up on the pill just because of that on inccident.
