Default 19 years old, 10 months on finasteride.

So the story is, I started back in April to take finasteride when I noticed my hair was thinning out. I debated taking finasteride because of the scare stories on the internet but I did my research and decided to take the risk anyway. Luckily for me, I've had no side effects to date *touch wood* but the only thing is I've not seen any improvement with my hair.

I didn't really take notice how much hair was falling out prior to me starting finasteride, but it seems around the same amount. Unfortunetly I'm a diffuse thinner which makes me one of the unlucky ones, and I've debated taking minoxidil incase the shedding that comes with it doesn't stop. I'll update with pictures tomorrow as its New Year's Eve and I'm about to go out (quite sad that I'm sat here writing this thread beforehand but it's a constant worry and anxiety problem for me.)

The actual reason I'm posting this thread is because I want to know people's experiences with finasteride and if sometimes it takes sometimes longer to start to kick in?

Any advice or general replies are welcome.

    Cheers!

The only TRUE thing anyone on here, in a physicians office or an HT clinic could say is this - No one fully knows the full extent of finasterides effects on the body, or even on the scalp for that matter. Taking it is a shot in the dark. Scientific studies indicate an almost 90% "success" rate in those that take it, so it's worth a shot. Anectdotal reports show that in certain people, finasteride does not only not stop the hair loss, but speeds it up rapidly. This is happening to me and several others on here.

Eat your pills and pray. Such is life for us all until a new breakthrough.

I'll take 2.5mg dut before I go bald. I'd rather have ED and please my wife orally than be treated like beta male scum and have my face destroyed.
