"Hair shedding", or "shock loss", occurs right after a hair restoration procedure and is characterized by hair falling out. Though surprising to patients, shock loss doesn't necessarily indicate a problem. In this phase, hair follicles begin to shed myriads of old hairs as they prepare to grow new ones. Dr. Bernstein discusses why your actual hair grafts are not in danger following your hair transplant.
