"Hair shedding", or "shock loss", occurs right after a hair restoration procedure and is characterized by hair falling out. Though surprising to patients, shock loss doesn't necessarily indicate a problem. In this phase, hair follicles begin to shed myriads of old hairs as they prepare to grow new ones.
