hair thin towards the root.

Hello all, I was just wondering I bad seen a post from a thread and someone was comparing a strand of hair that was thick at the tip but think towards the root. Anybody know anything on this? I tried comparing my own and I can see that one side is thin than the other whjch is near the bulb that is thin but does this mean MPB? Or some kind of different phase? Also near the bulb the hair id different pigmentation like a white color. Any thoughts?
