Hair Miniaturization
Hi, I've got some comparisons photo I took, three in february and 3 yesterday.
I was wondering if anyone can notice any kind of further recession (I know there is recession in the temples but they have been like that since I was a mid teen) or more miniaturization. The front of my hair especially the left side is littered in hairs that don't seem to want to hold up, I'm not entirely sure if it's miniaturization or not, as they appear the same thickness and color as the rest of my hair, but there definitely seems to be a lot more of them now.
Any advice would be great.

I can't see anything, except that you have a ton of hair, and that you definitely don't need a hair transplant.

From what I can tell, in the photos, the right side of the hairline looks to have recessed by a very small amount. The right temple peak shows no noticeable changes. The left side of the hairline may show more hair miniaturization. The left temple peak isn't noticeably different in the photos.

First off, you have a lot of hair and your hairline still looks great. However, I do see the potential cause for your concern - though your concern at this point should be very minimal. I don't want you to be alarmed.
Have you ever had a consultation with a top HT surgeon to have them officially test your miniaturization levels? That would be your best bet at this point if you haven't. They can also advise you on any medication that may work well for you.
I think you're quite a ways off from needing a hair transplant (if ever), so the consultation with the surgeon would simply be to get a professional opinion and evaluation on the books so that you can start taking steps now to hopefully slow down any loss you may be experiencing.
Best of luck!

Cheers guys, I know I don't need a HT at the moment, that would be excessive I originally posted this in the wrong section.
I might get it checked out for miniaturization though, I did see a photo of me about 3 years ago the other day, and my temples seem to be pretty much in the exact same place, and even from the blurry far awayness of it you could see some smaller hairs hanging down my face. So I'm not sure if that is just my hairline, I've always had longer hair in a fringe, and can't really find a photo when I've had it shorter and stuck up so quite hard to compare.
I might just monitor it, take some photos in 4-6 months and check again. I know if there is any recession it's fairly slow. Cos as I say my temples have always been a little receded ever since I was about 16.
I keep flipping between, 'this is my normal hair and it's been like it for years', and 'aaah where have these mini hairs come from I'm going bald'

Haha. I know how that goes all too well. Unfortunately for me, I definitively ended up on "My hairline is definitely receding" end.
You have a good attitude and a solid game plan. Monitor it every 4-6 months or so like you said, get a consultation under your belt to test your miniaturization levels so that you'll have an idea of where you are, and then cross the proverbial bridge when/if you get to it.

The little hairs I can see are new hairs growing in. Even women have these....
The hairline doesn't appear thin. And it might be receding slightly but, pretty much all guys have this in late teens/20s... (referred to as a mature hairline) just monitor it. If there's been no change in 3 years, I can't see you having much of an issue right now. Like I said, just keep an eye on it.

I would just compare your hair now back to what it was when you were 18 and if your missing hair just go see someone like a derm and take action verses waiting. No one has a crystal ball of what will happen and you cant undo damage you have to be proactive even if its not totally needed you will never know. Might stop, and it might not.
