    Counting the grafts?? Any suggestions?

    Hello everyone,
I am on my post op schedule right now and since resting is something I do quite a lot these days , I am getting bored and actually decided to count the grafts taken from donor area and planted on recipient area. ( I took super high resolution pictures of my scalp and all the dots on donor and recipient area can be counted.

I had 4000 fue procedure but I am getting a lesser count. Before I come to a conclusion, that is how I have counted:
    1) every small hole in the donor site (back of head) is one graft. Therefore there should be a total of 4000 small holes. Correct?

    2) however on the recipient site it's a bit tricky, I am considering every red dot to be one graft. Correct?

I just don't want to sound rude asking the doctor if he really placed 4000 fue, therefore your help is needed here ,

Also is there any other way to confirm that I really got 4000 fue.

    Thank you

the only way to know is to tell us who you got the HT through.. if it is a very reputable surgeon, then yes, you probably got at least close to 4000 grafts. If it is some main chain clinic, then who the hell knows.

It's the cole hair clinic in Windsor, Ontario .

If we consider time , how long does it take to extract and plant 4000 grafts?

I realized it was 8 hours extracting and 8 hour transplanting 2000 grafts.

      Does that sound about rights?

It is 4000 grafts and yep that's why it was done over 2 days . 2000 grafts each day.

8 hours extracting and 8 hours planting

16 hours total? that sounds about right to me.. Cole has a good reputation. Don't let your mind freak you out. 4000 GRAFTS, mean just that... 4000 extractions and 4000 recipient sites. It doesn't mean 4000 hairs. 4000 grafts may yield 5-6,000 hairs, or even more, depending on the grafts harvested. You should present to us a breakdown of the grafts. how many 1's, 2's, 3's and 4's.. do you have that?
