    Default Goosebumps after hair transplant!!

    Merry Christmas everyone !!!
So I had a 4000 fue procedure done 5 days ago!! Yay!! Getting my hair back for Christmas.

Since I am resting these days, I listen to music and movies and read books. Now I am a very senaitive person when it comes to epic music or epic movie scenes where I imagine myself in that situation and get goosebumps, mainly in my hands where the hair stands up. Feels epic

So for the past few days I have been getting these goosebumps on my scalp recipient area as well where I feel all the hairs in the recipient area are sticking up as I feel epic about some music or movie scene.

Just wondering if me feeling epic about something has totally damaged the transplanted grafts or not?

I don't know much science behind goosebumps, all I know it makes the hairs erect and that hair is connected to a follicle. So did I damage the transplanted grafts by stressing them out with my epic imaginations ? Lmao I would be one unlucky guy if that's that case.

Anyone please shed some light on it

Interesting subject. I've recently been reading up on the Arrector Pili Muscles link to hair loss. The APM is the muscle that controls "goosebumps". Seems that miniaturized hair follicles lose contact with the APM and eventually die.
When a hair transplant is done, the APM connects to the new transplanted hair follicle.
Here's a link to a study. This one doesn't mention the APM connecting to a transplanted hair but I read that in another study which I don't have right now.

I think this is a good sign if your transplanted hair is standing up when you get goosebumps. It means your new hair follicles are connecting to the APM.

Haha. Amazing thread. Continue watching your epic movies and feeling all the goosebumps you wanna feel. They won't affect your transplanted hairs at all.

Congrats on the procedure. A very good Christmas present, indeed.
