Hello, I just recently turned 17 and I've been noticing my hair feels different than it used to. Nobody on my mom's side suffers from hair loss; however, everybody on my dad's side has pretty severe balding. So far these pictures contain the issues that are concerning me most. I want to believe that this is just a normal maturing hairline, but I have started to come to the realization that it most likely isn't. If this does appear to be MPB, please tell me the following things:
    1) Where do I go to be treated? From what I read that appears to be a dermatologist.
    2) What type of medication seems best fit for my current hair?
    3) What are the side effects of this medication?
    4) What is the probability of these side effects occurring and the probability of having success through medication?
Sorry for asking so many questions. I would just like to get all the information possible before I take the next step in this process. Thanks!

As far as i see your hairline is fine and has good thickness and your looks fits
I am too 17 and has more worse receding hairline and less thickness .
    Now to your question
It is definitely a dermatologist you should consult .
    Don't go for cheap doctors.
I went to a local homeopathic clinic and it doesn't gave any effect. My hairline continues receding .
If it is a good doctor you consult and he is not using you for money , he will surely provide you minoxidil or Propecia .
These are the only known effective medicines .
But it is not recommended for receding hairline.
Ayurveda medicines(not clinically proven) are also effective but the ones available online might be FAKE.
If you are too concerned , you go for hair transplantation .
In your present condition it wont cost more than the money spend on using the medicines for a year.
As from picture you got good thickness and can transplant a good amount of hair to the front.

Don't be fooled by local medicines the doctor provide you .
It will only to make them money. Ask them for transplantation .

Thank you . Dream good things.

AND ONE MORE YOUR HAIRLINE DOESN'T LOOK BALDING FOR ME BUT RATHER LOOK LIKE MATURE HAIRLINE .

A hair transplant for a 17 year old with a receding hairline? I think this a bit too much to recommend devilsmaycry. You wrote that you are 17, too. Are you honestly considering a hair transplant? Propecia will cost you under $10 a month.

Good to recommend a visit to a dermatologist.
