Hair specialist in Boston

Hi everyone,

I'm 27 and have been on Propecia since I was 21. The drug initially worked great but has gradually slowed down over time...which I guess is to be expected.

The biggest thing I've noticed is that my hairline is very flimsy. It naturally falls down on my forehead so its difficult to notice that I'm losing my hair but if I ever try to put it up with gel or anything it looks very thin and scraggly.

I've put a lot of thought into it and would like to consider a hair transplant specialist to talk through my options. I visited Dr. Leonard about 2 years ago before my hairline had gotten this bad and he just sketched me out.

Does anybody know any other doctors in the mass/boston area BESIDES dr. leonard? I find it hard to believe hes the ONLY doc in massachusetts, rhode island, and new hampshire that is good for hair transplants? or I could be wrong?

any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

Your next best bet would be to check out Dr. Ivan Cohen in Connecticut or drive to New York. There are like five top doctors there.

I was talking about Dr Leonard he might do good now but here is the reason I would NOT recommend him to anybody.He did work to me back in the early to mid 1990's and I see him still for propecia still and its like he does not even want to recognize the old bad work he did to me.I understand the art of h.t. has progressed over the years but, do you just forget about your old patients just because they do not have anymore donor area left? I have been hiding under a hat for 20 years now. the best years of my life have faded away 25 to my current age of 45. My advise to you is to go to the very best doctor you can find no matter the distance or the cost because once this is done there is no turning back and if it is not done correctly you will be just like me a living mess. The info on the computer and Spencer's radio show this is a lot more than I had 20 years ago not much help was out there .I would look under another forum and you will see Dr Leonard is not recommended. Its a matter of fact we do not have one good H.T. surgeon in New England area and that is sad considering all the great hospitals we have in Boston.I would check out some great doctors in New York at the very least good luck my friend and be carefull
