Default Just had my first consultation

I had my first consultation at Zeiring clinic in Leeds last week.

It was pretty brief only about 20 minutes. I did the forms and was asked why I had waited so long to consider treatment. I explained this was due to long term unemployment and so not having the funds.

I was advised that I could have a procedure from the front to around the top/centre of my head and then would need to propecia for the back crown area. Although the gentleman I spoke to was very friendly he seemed more of a salesman (I thought I'd be speaking with a doctor) so after getting the quote I did feel a bit of pressure. However, I've read threads on this forum from users who have used the Zeiring clinic and there experience and results seen very positive.

I'm hoping to do 2 more consulatations with Crown Clinic and Farjo in Manchester before I make a definite decision.

I've also got an appointment at boots next week to get a prescription for propepecia. I'd be interested to hear of anyone experience using this. How long does it take to see results?

do you have pictures? and it's not guaranteed that finasteride will work on your crown... it has made mine much worst.

Hi James, yeah if you look on my thread/post history I've uploaded some pics on another thread. How do it make yours worse?

The surgical plan sounds as if it was made with the assumption that Propecia would work well. Odds are it will but I'd recommend getting your prescription and trying the medicaiton for no less than six months before you make a decision. One year would be better so that you can have a stronger sense as to the efficacy of the medication. If it doesn't work well and you continue losing hair you may want to alter your surgical plans.

I've just had the hair retention consultation at boots and they have given me a months worth of procpecia. I have to go back next month for a review.
