24 years old balding and giving up on life. Pictures.
Sorry for any incorrect grammar. English is not my native tongue.
First of all, some background info. On my mothers side there's no balding whatsoever. On my fathers on the other hand there is plenty. My father lost his hair at 21 and most of his brothers in the same way. I asked him if my pattern was similar to his and he said yes. Now I'm a few more years a head of him but it still ruins my life.
My hair makes everything, my face is nothing without it. This has ruined me to the point where I hate to even go to class anymore (I'm still in uni). I looked at the balding patterns but cannot see that it resembles mine at all. I have no profound receding at the temples, just thinning all around, leaving just a "lick" of hair in the middle.
The first picture is me looking like I don't care. The three others is me trying to "hide" it.
Please tell me that I'm just imagining things and this is not really happening to me=(
I feel so messed up about this that it saddens my whole life.
Thanks in advance guys.

just keep your hairstyle short and maybe start on minoxidil, cheer up, you're still young bro

As much as I hate to say it, you're definitely going through MPB... You have the classic pattern. You might greatly benefit from finasteride and minoxidil.

There's still plenty there worth saving. Try if you aren't already. Nothing to lose at this point if you definitely know what the end point is going to be otherwise.

There are some things you can do, so all hope is not lost.
Get on Propecia (Finasteride) and Rogaine (Minoxidil) ASAP. This might help you stop your hair loss and even reverse it a bit - regrow some hair.
If your hair loss is bothering you that much, start saving for a hair transplant, so you can have one in your late 20's, early 30's.

Honestly, I would not recommend Finasteride like that.
This stuff has plenty of side effects and is not an option for many (including me). I mean all these side effects like man boobs and virility problems... This is scary for many and I rather have irreversible hair loss than irreversible something more serious...
Minoxidil is worth to recommend. There are well documented efficacy and pros & cons and when you do not have any side effects than it could be something for you.

Thank you for the replies guys. Maybe I'm overreacting but this situation is a sort of shock to my system, my life was going great before this crap.
I have booked an appointment at the doctors, I keep telling myself that it's not mpb but maybe lack of vitamins or thyroid problem. Ah well, we shall see. I will be starting to save up for any potential transplant in the future, but as a student it's going to take some time.
