Starting with Minoxidil - what else helps?
Hello everyone,
I knew that this would be coming in my life since my father and brother are both getting bald as well. I am 25 now and I can see could see that my hairline was receding over the last few months after I got a shorter haircut. I definitely want to fight back and not give up or simply don't care (like my brother, who is shaving his head). I started to use 5% Minoxidil daily but I have the feeling it is not enough and that there must be something else out there that could enhance the results or do a similar job.
Could you guys advice something?

Hi Hairmore ,
Im glad to see that you have begun Minoxidil.
Another thing to consider is the use of the multi-vitamin~ Biotin.
Biotin (Vitamin B7) is also called Vitamin H or Coenzyme R.
one of the B-complex vitamins.
Safe to use, of course.
Biotin is a crucial component to skin cells.
Healthy skin cells play a major role in the health of hair follicles as well.
Weak or unhealthy hair follicles result in the inability to retain hair, which leads to hair loss.
Over time, follicles get weaker and hair loss increases.
Not only that, but the follicles’ ability to regrow and retain new hair diminishes.
So Biotin does add to the healthy aspects of your scalp.
It is an over-the counter vitamin like all of the others ones.
It has a very good history in aiding to ones hair.
Cheers, Hairmore! Good luck to you.
I take it every day.

Hi Artista,
Thanks a lot for the advice. I will consider taking Biotin and I have heard & read about it a bit as well.
Should I stick to the recommended daily dosage or should I consider a higher dosage? I am doing some weightlifting and I am used to taking higher dosages of supplements. I am not affright of expensive urine either.

You are quite welcome Hairmore!
I've done plenty of research on minoxidil.
Overall it is a positive thing to do.
Many many years ago I remembered starting it but when it ran out I never bought it again.
Not that I had any issue with it, Way back then,my hair loss was not so bad.
I was excepting for what my hair was at that time.
A few years later my hairloss got really strong... At that time my life was in turmoil and stress made a huge difference in my hair!!
I've been considering using minoxidil again along with the use of my finasteride and biotin. (over two years now)
Now back to your point,
There are some really good members out here that have good experiences with the use of minoxidil and hopefully they will respond here for you!
Stay positive my friend
Please do not become stressed out over anything in your life!
That's stress will hurt you and your hair!!
I can't wait to hear others speak up their experiences with minoxidil for you
(for me too-lol)
Have a good day
