Default Do all surgeons require arbitration agreements signed?

I put down a deposit with an Iahrs affiliated surgeon and then received a preop packet that included an arbitration agreement. Is this normal?

Basically I can pursue arbitration but not legal means in case of a problem.

Clinic is based in the U.S.

    Thanks

I do not know about hair transplantation surgeons, but as far as I know all plastic surgeons require an arbitration agreement.

All doctors in the United States include an arbitration agreement in their paperwork. Most private doctors will not treat you if it's not signed. Arbitration are legal means, it just means that the case will not be taken to a jury trial.

It does protect docs from those juries, who may hear and see physical evidence resulting from surgery or other claims.

Some docs require this, not all. Every doc has their own packet and disclosure and etc to protect themselves. However, if something goes awry and you are prevented from speaking out and etc, regulators would like such cases submitted to them for etc.

What does the arbitration agreement say exactly?
