    Possibly a NW2Ikix

    Welcome to this forum.
You made a good decision to be here.
There are quite a few members, like myself, that will offer you objective, fair-minded and realistic advice.
Some of us have plenty of life experience now to actually know what to say and do.
Could you please tell us how old you are now Ikix?

    Cheers to you!!
(by the way, I wish that my hairline looked like yours)

I'm 25. I first noticed signs of recession to a mature hairline when I turned 20, and between 20-21 it stayed the same. But, when i turned about 22, I started losing my temple hair more, and for the next year I nearly lost it all. From 22-23 is where the "mature hairline" decided to go to MPB, and a lot of the hair on my hairline fell out. I got a bald patch on the right side of my hairline that just slowly got bigger, while the temples hollowed out slowly. I noticed the hair on the top of my head didn't have that "POOF" anymore when I pushed down and it felt overall thinner. My cowlick became larger too. I think my hairloss was very sudden and rapid, and it took about half a year to slow it down and stop it when I was 23-24. When I was 24-25, I added some other medications, and hair started growing back. I do not use minoxidil or anything topical. My hairloss reverses at a fraction of the speed that I lost it, but it's coming back. You can tell by the smaller hairs around the hairline.

I came here to get some input about where I stand.

Good to see your response Ikix!!
I really don't have a lot of time to talk right now, on my smart phone.
So you say that you're on medication for your hairloss?
Is it Finasteride or is it something else?
I've been on finasteride for over two years now.. I have been experiencing my hairs improvements too!!

Trimmed , you cannot make that assertion about Ikix's hairloss as yet.

    Ikix spoke of experiencing much
    more hair-loss in his past.
He spoke of being on medication that has been actually improving his hair.
At this point, we don't know what type or kind of medication he's using.
But he states that his hair has been improved.

Now I'm not attacking you Trimmed, so don't think that you're being offended by what I said.

Many many members here do assume many things. Positive things and negative things.
Just start up a positive conversation with Ikix and you can learn more about his experience.
    Have a good day

I would like not to get into what type of medication, because others wont like the follow it, but one is spironolactone which is a androgen blocker/diuretic. I used to say I had a norwood "2.5" that was on it's way to 3, but I've seen improvements for nearly 6 months. I saw a thread years ago by a guy named KIWI from somewhere and decided to go down that path and beyond. My hair isn't falling out either, Trimmed. I have zero shedding, and shampooing my hair only takes out a few hairs. In the past, there used to be mornings when I woke up and my pillow was covered in hair, or times that I washed my hair and my hands were full of hair. This doesn't happen anymore. I feel like making this a progress thread, which I'll update every few months.

From the photo, you are a NW 2, but you may be a potential class III if you don't have a naturally broad forehead.
