    Default Desperate

So here iam 2 months post fue surgery and all I can say is that I wish that I didn't do it ! I look a lot worse than I did before surgey ! All of the transplanted hairs have fallen and also some of my native ones ! I regret that I did it I could've save time and money ..taking propecia and hair vitamins tabs but stopped propecia as It caused me loss of libido and so sort of erectile dysfunction!
If I knew that even my native hair will fall before doing the surgery I would"ve cancelled the whole thing cuz I look more bald than I did before it
So desperate and avoiding seeing my family and friends .. Going to my work using pandana " it's ok as I work as family physician so wearing a scrub with a pandana is not a big deal"
Contacted my doctor and she assured me it's normal although immediately after surgery she told me you gonna see growth from the beginning of the 3rd month ! All I can see is I'm balding more !!
    Please advice so desperate..

Hey Aventador, you need to relax amigo. It is way too early in the process to judge anything. It is possible that some of your native hair went away due to shockloss, but that hair often comes back. You also haven't seen even a fraction of what your transplanted hair will look like. Patience is a virtue, good luck!

You are smack dab in the middle of your ugly duckly stage. I know it sucks and your physician should have been up front about this as it is common for almost all patients to go through this. I usually tell patients to not expect any "signs of life" as it were until sometime between month three and month five after surgery. You have to take ten steps backward before you take ten steps forward. If you want any more cliche's to describe the fact that this is normal, just let me know

hahaha... yes, well said. I personally think it's a mistake to not be on finasteride at this stage however. Hair transplants, especially when the recipients sites are around a lot of native hair can cause shock loss, or even telogen effluvium (not trying to scare you, but this happened to me and many, many other people on these forums as well.) If you have true MPB, there is a good chance that these hairs will return miniaturized, if they return at all. In my case, my hair transplant literally obliterated my native hair. It fell out rapidly and it's regrowth is SO fine and thin that you can barely even see it. WITH finasteride, you are giving these hairs a better chance of terminal regrowth.
