Shiseido paid Replicel for licensing rights to RCH-01, they are conducting their own trial of the technology and sharing their results. With Japanese regulations being reformed, they can bring it to the market during the phase 2 trial. People completely made up the fact that Shiseido is doing their own separate treatment approach. Also, I hate delays as much as anyone but they're less than six month behind schedule. That hardly means that Replicel is dead or they lied about anything.

No they're not, the structure of their trial may be different but it's still rch-01. They never once said anything other than that. You're probably confused because of the replicel videos on youtube but if you watch again, half the show was replicel and half was tsuji's research.

I also think that Shisiedo is doing its' own research. I think they're doing research into iSP for hair growth. They have their own iSP researchers on staff so why wouldn't they have their iSP researchers do work with iSP cells for hair growth?

                I agree with nameless.

Here is quote below from a press release in 2013 when replicel and shisheido announced their partnership.

"Having paid a 400 million yen contract free, shisheido will combine replicel's hair regenerative medicine technology and its own technology and aim to commercialize safe and effective hair regenerative medicine that integrates beauty and medicine to help those concerned about pattern baldness and thinning hair ."

Regardless of what any type of poll on this site says, only time will reveal the truth. Everything else is pure speculation. Pointless thread, typical BTT, same old arguments.

Here you go let's put this crap to rest; shisheido is indeed working on its own technology.

2018 release is now very unlikely due to the delays as the Phase 2 is a 3 year trial. We need to add at minimum 3-4 months on top of it for japanese regulatory approval for provisional release, which pushes it well into 2019

Delays in scientific research... Surely you jest!!

Its okay we are still within that golden 5-10 year release schedule.

Let's not forget that on top of said delays it will be years before it actually comes to a town near you as people will have be trained to administer such a thing and also for it to pass your local regulatory body for approval.

In other words expect delays upon delays.

10 years is not golden for me.
