IAHRS Recommended Hair Transplant Surgeon
Bad Hair Plugs and How They are Repaired
Dr. Robert Bernstein touches on the history of hair plugs, problems caused by the old transplantation technique, and how they (and their scar tissues) are fixed at Bernstein Medical.
...most of the grafts that were placed were not only in clumps in grafts that contained too many hairs, but also that the hairs were in the wrong direction. So it's best to totally remove plugs if you can.
The benefit of removing the plug completely is that a skilled surgeon can breakdown and reuse all the hairs in the large plug. The skin cobbled by the hair plug can also be repaired.
