    I'm new! please advise

    Hello,
I just signed up for this thread forum now, i am 30 years old and have been balding since my early 20's.
Anyway i have been shaving my head since i was 25 but im sure everyone can tell i am balding.

I am considering to get the cosmetic tattoo thing done (ac,etc) because i like the balk look and will probably stick with it the rest of my life.

I dont want to spend the money on transplants(plus i like my hair short) and on medications either.

so how real is the tattooing and do i need to keep my head buzzed everyday for it to look natural? how often do you guys buzz your head?(guys with procedure)

this forum is very overwhelming and has a lot of info so id rather ask here and see if any of you with real knowledge can help.
    regards!

I am confused. You said you liked the bald look, So why would you bother having tatooing performed on your scalp? Are you trying to have the tatoo look like hair. If so, I think you are better off just leaving it the way it is.

what i meant was, the really close buzz cut...not completely bald with a razor, but shaved with clippers with a zero or 1 clip

I would not get a tattoo. The ink will change over time and your hair will also change color. It is very hard to remove a tattoo from the scalp. When the ink is placed in the dermis the color appearance can change because of your own pigment. Every scalp that I have seen with a tattoo looks terrible.

I agree with Dr. DeYarman. I have never seen a tattoo on the scalp that looked natural. I would recommend considering other options.

Dr. Glenn Charles and Dr James DeYarman,
Thank you for your input, i'd like to know how many post micropigmentation transplants have you seen?

also how new is this procedure and how good will it get in the near future?

hey, i dont know much about this, but i would strongly recomend against it. For a few ressons, 1) the tatto ink may turn green after a while 2) its permanent 3) i have seen some online and they look terrible 4) Its just like any tatto the older you get the worse it will look. Do you really want to be a 75 year old grandfather with hair tattoed on your head? Just my two sense, but i think it sounds like an awful idea. Goood luck!
