    How to start using Minoxidl?

I am 22 years old, and going bald...

Still have hair but it is slowly thinning in the crown, and i have a receding hairline.

I have been looking up on minox and fin, and I think I am going to start minoxodil this weekend. Later i may do finisteride.

How do I get started on minoxidil and are the side effects as bad as people say? Also does it actually help get some hair back...

I am also worried about the shedding..

we are all worried about the shedding when starting treatments, however, remember this is part of treating hair loss and is in most cases a sign of good things. What happens is that after the hair follicle gets signals to start producing new, stronger hair, it needs to shed the existing fiber in order to do so. This is a GOOD thing. You will shed some, but you will by no means go bald or anything. You are smart to have started young, it means you will have better chances at maintaining and regrowth. You NEED to be patient. PLEASE, don't count hairs every day and drive your self insane. The BEST way I found to apply it is to buy the cheaper, generic kirkland FOAM. Towel dry hair after shower, shake well, put some onto scalp or finger tips and massage in for a minute. The FORGET about it and go on your day. You may shed a bit after a month or two, you may not... you need to stick with these treatments for at least 8mo-1year to see the effects.
