Recepient area shaved
Hey guys,
One of the main benifits of going for an HST is the fact that there are no scars on the donor area.i have already shaved my donor no guard with no visible scars. However, what about the recepient area? Did anyone try to shave it down to 0? Will there be any scars, pits, holes, showing on the recepient area? Or it is completly scarless like the donor?
The reason i ask is that if so eone decides to shave his whole head down to 0, would that be possible and no scars will be visible in both donor and recepient areas?

Sorry, I must have missed something, what other benefit is there ?

HST is not scarless at all. The scars are just smaller due to smaller drills and hard to notice, but I *can* see them in the right type of light (very white light). But under normal light it's next to impossible to spot them.
HASCI isn't the only clinic drilling with 0.8mm though, so if 'scarless' would be your goal, just look for a clinic that also drills with that drill size.

Other benefit could be that HST is less invasive than other surgeries and the recovery time is much better.
Now regarding scars are you talking about donor scare or recipients?
We all agree that you can get away with shaving your donor to 0 but does that apply to recipient area as well ?

If HST leaves the donor pretty much 'scarless' to the naked eye, and the recipient hairs are of good quality / caliber then this would be the same cosmetic accomplishment as Pilofocus, no?
