Summary
Can anyone summarize for us the latest updates on the treatments? (Please dont write about treatments in preclinical trial)
Like replicel, topical propecia, etc..
Thank you

Weren't you the one crapping on everything and said nothing will come out? I understand why you say that but just admit that there is in fact hope and that's why you're here. Also my money is on replicel, even after the delays they still are saying 2018, I check their twitter daily. I rewatched that Japanese video and it said it will regrow all follicles that are still in tact. This was after they made a point to show "dead follicles" were just miniaturized. There was some misunderstanding before but that's what it said.

summary: nothing on the horizon.
staying bald for at least 3 more years (only if replicel is a success), more likely is 5 to 8 years.

We should refrain from stating such predictions till the nearest hair congress. There, we could be informed more precisely about meds like Seti and SM.

Which date is the next hair congress?
-
It is gonna be in November but I do not think there is gonna be something new

SM04554 and CB-03-01 are both well into phase II and, in my opinion, with good chances of seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Samumed has launched complementary phase II to expedite the clinical trials process. They are a well funded company trying to move things asap.
Replicel is trying to position their stuff as a preventative cure wich 'll only require a single treatment. Shiseido will be starting a phase 2 trial later this year and japanese legislation gives hope for an early release.
There are some other sings being trialed but way less promising and/or very far away from being commercialized: minoxidil/dermarolling, bimatoprost, setipiprant, AAPE, Pilofocus, Follicum, SB204, RES440, etc.
Things might look good from a maintenance standpoint but a reversal cure may be far away.

Samumed is doing a 50-man supplemental study for SM04554. Why would they involve such a small number of participants if their drug, SM04554, had a low rate of efficacy? The fact that they only have 50 test subjects indicates that they anticipate that a high percentage of their test subjects will achieve the desired effect.

@Tenma: I agree, but there is one thing which I find strange in your predictions: you have more hope when it comes to commercialisation of CB than of Seti? According to Cosmo's pipeline, CB will be in the market in 2021. Seti is a product of very big company and it passed numerous tests about its safety. CB is promissing, but I can't understand why Cosmo need as many as 5-6 years for it... That's why I have my hope mainly in: SM, Seti, Replicel.

I think it's because we haven't seen any results from Seti yet. CB is off my radar.
