Follicum results vs Minoxidil, Great Promise
This is some exclusive data that Follicum has released about 6 potential compounds they studied. The compounds were compared with Minoxidil and the results are highly in the favor of Follicum. Enjoy

Okay I'll bite. How far are they from starting human clinical trials?
Any possibility for pics?
What is their next step?
I guess they won't divulge on what the compounds are based.

With a name like that I just hope its not a white, gooey liquid...

Re Sogeking: All of that information is in the articles. Looking to start human trials early next year, compounds are based on proteins naturally found in the human body.
allgood: Lol They are from Sweden, so I give them a break on that one.

Thanks for the article.
What is the mechanism of action though?
Also are these results obtained from actual human subjects or mice?
-
The writeup states "Today Follicum is carrying out preclinical studies, in animal models and on isolated live human tissue and even at low doses FOL-S-005 showed significant stimulation of hair growth on mice." I'm not certain if these results are from mice or human tissue. My guess would be mice. I'm just presenting the information as I receive it.

thanks for the insights.
but how did you manage do get that exclusive info? =)
do you think they could give you some basic information about how the mechanism of their molecule works? was it just an accidental discovery or is there some science behind it? (e.g. modulating wnt pathway)
i hope they can test their substances on humans asap, because we already know that almost everything grows hair on mice. i often have the feeling that growth of hair in mice is some kind of side effect or reaction of the immune system to different substances. in the end, a coat of a mice is not comparable to human hair, not to mention MPB affected hair, although many scientists still think that mice (or sometimes bald mice) are a good model for human hair. too many decades have been wasted with testing hair growth compounds on mice.
i would be totally surprised if this follicum molecule really grows a single hair in humans.

If those results are on mice, I wouldn't get too excited. Everything seems to grow hair on mice!

True. Even hot human breath seems to activate follicle neogenesis on mice.

Joachim: Me and Jan go way back we used to play ball at the local park. Just kidding. I think Dr. Allenfall respects the integrity and sincerity of my work at FollicleThought and that's how it happened.
The technology of Follicum is based on endogenous proteins that have been modified and when studied they were found to stimulate hair growth. The founders have been working on the research for about 11 years. They have even collaborated with renowned hair researcher Ralf Paus over the past several years.
I don't mind answering questions guys, but please read the articles first. Especially the write up from Dr. Allenfall in my older Follicum article. All of the information is there.
