Any doctor will try this for hair grafts survival ??
Gelfoam, which is derived from gelatinized pig skin, provides a 3-dimensional physiological scaffold for the hair follicle to attach and grow, both in vitro and in the injured spinal cord, which may provide nutritional factors for long-term hair shaft growth [5, 6, 8, 9]. Gelfoam appears to preserve the integral hair follicle both in vitro and in vivo. The unanticipated results demonstrate the great potential of hair shaft growth after Gelfoam histoculture and transplantation of the hair follicle in vivo, even at an ectopic site.

Couldn't this gelfoam even be a good solution for the time between extraction and implantation??

IAHRS Recommended Hair Transplant Surgeon
I've used Gelfoam for nasal surgery since 92 or 93. Its great for stopping oozing from injured tissue. I would have no idea how it could help HT. No it would not be useful as a storage media....it sticks to everything very well. Would be difficult to get the hair off without further trauma.
