Default Male pattern baldness at 17?!

So One day I cut my hair to a 2 to try out a new style. Looked pretty good everyone liked it. Then one day I look in the mirror and I notice at the top of my head (not the crown) but an inch behind my hairline and an inch before my vertex there was a small thinning patch. It wasn't that bad but I started freaking out.it was such a shock to me. My hairline was in perfect shape aside from my right temple I had slight thinning already. It was that way for at least 6 months! At the time I was trying a new diet called intermittent fasting and I did that for almost a year. Basically what you do is fast yourself all day and try to fit all your daily calories into a certain time window. (Google it for more info because I can't explain it that well) i was also finishing high school so I was very stressed out. And I was not eating healthy AT ALLL. I was foolishly replacing all healthy food with junk food because I figured calories were calories. yeah I'm pretty dumb . Anyway that went on for a while I finished high school and now I am 19 years old aNd My left side is still to this day untouched. my crown is SLIGHTLY thinning, the top of my head has thinned pretty badly and it's SUPER GREASY In that area only no where else. the top of my head shines but there is still hair there. And on top of that I have these weird lines of thinning hair that go from my crown and kind of connect to each temple, kind of like a "U" around my head if that makes sense. It really sucks. And it's only affecting the top and I'm 19. I have not experienced ANY shedding btw. At least not thatI've noticed because I keep my hair short. I also have a slight pain in my crown and at the top whenever they are touched. It also gets super itchy when I wear hats but it's been that way since I was 14. Soooo should I suck it up and take propecia while it's still thinning?? I saw my GP and he said it was just a little thinning nothing to be worried about and then I saw a dermatologist and he said it LOOKED like diffuse thinning and he sent me to another dermatologist like 70 miles away to see if it was MBP or something else because he didn't know and I have no time to drive out there and see him because I work a lot. My dad started thinning at like 35 or 40 and he's 65 and he's not even completely bald. He had a bad receding hairline though. And my grandparents were never completely bald. So why is my hairloss so aggressive?!?!?! HELP ME!!

    Hello Criswdsn !!

The first thing to realize is that STRESS WILL have an impact on your scalp.
That is a FACT of life.
Do not worry nor become STRESSED again...also you must eat healthy.

Another thing is this,,you are NOT dumb Crswdsn!
You are VERY YOUNG and being that you are so young you do not yet have insight that is needed for a full and happy life.
That is not a criticism my friend, that is a fact of life for everyone at that age.
In time you will develop insight and commonsense.
Stick around with 'us' ,,there are some very good members here that WILL offer you real and fair-minded advice for you.
Thats because some of us have wisdom, life experiences and foresight that can HELP you and others. Commonsense is the BEST way to discuss anything in life..
Im off to work now ,,
Could you possibly post photos of your hairline? You can block out your face if you need to-of course.
Cheers to you my young friend.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome!!!! Did not expect that and I am excited to be apart of the community. I wish that day would come faster where I don't feel like this is the end of the world for me because right now that's exactly what it feels like. I feel so out of control and like I did something wrong to be experiencing this at a young age. And I know there are worse things to be going through and don't get me wrong I've been through a lot in my life but I just never imagined this would be something I would be going through . Maybe I'm just being vain. Anyway I have some pictures and I would appreciate it if you could look at them!! the thinning is worse at the top than anywhere else and the crown is now being affected and my hair looks soooooo greasy in the sunlight!!

    Thumbs up

its Always like this I swear...99% of the time I dont care what anyone else says...these Days younger people go bald alot earlier than they did back in the older Days... my dad started balding at age 55 and I start balding at age 22 that tells you something...I have read many guys saying themselves that their dad started balding alot later than them..so what is the reason for this?? PORN PORN AND MORE PORN...xD jokes aside... it comes down to mainly bad diet...not exercising enough...sitting at home playing playstation/PC too much...in the older Days computers didnt exist people were outside ALOT MORE OFTEN getting more Sunlight and exercise...im telling you Young people of today are mostly sitting at home playing games/masturbating to porn which spikes testo and DHT in the body I like to Believe..also the body needs to make new sperm everytime you ejaculate so it takes vitamins/nutrients/protein from your body to make that sperm.. and younger guys are stressing alot more these Days because they dont want to end up being a 40 year old Virgin..they are chasing Girls butts like theres no tomorrow and their stress levels go through the ROOF they cant help it they are Young and dumb afterall

    Hello Criswdsn,
I finally looked closely at your 3 photos....

It does NOT look like or show that your suffering major hairloss now.
It looks more like possible hair maturing ,but thats all.
Of course , different types of lighting will make a difference in how hair looks on pictures.
But all in all, your head of hair is A-OK.
Do not allow yourself to become unnecessarily concerned,worried,stressed-out over possibilities ....
Eat healthy, continue normal exercises, take multivitamins for your health...
Biotin is a very good multivitamin for HAIR

You are LUCKY to have a full head of hair buddy!!

Thank you Artista! Honestly means a lot that you took the time out of your day to tell me that! I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders! I will try my best to lead the healthiest life possible!! My GP told me i wasnt going bald but i figured how is that possible when my right temple is thinning so much! Then i read online that GP's dont have much knowlege on the matter so that made me stress out even more. But having someone else say that can help me FINALLY relax!
