    Scalp is on fire

I need some advice. I'm 41 and have been on Fin for 6 1/2 years. It was working very well and I still had thickish hair. I took a week off of it a couple of months back. I got back on Fin after only 1 week off and I feel like I've lost a lot of hair since then. It's getting really thin on top and now my scalp feels itchy and on fire a lot. It never had before. I read that the feeling of a burning scalp is consistent with MPB. Does anyone have this? Should I get on something other than Fin? I also use non paraban shampoos. I'm freaking out b/c the fin seemed to be keeping my hair and now it doesn't. It looks totally different now when it's wet.

that's interesting... I believe most people will tell you that by being off of fin, your DHT levels spiked up again and, in doing so, have started viciously attacked your hair follicles. Who really knows? I have been on fin for 4.5 months and I have thinned pretty drastically within that time. My scalp burns and itches occassionally, and I really don't understand why or how! My DHT levels are almost as low as they can get, but my testosterone is in the upper spectrum. I would say stay consistent with fin, use a shampoo like ketoconazol that can help with inflammation and maybe use some ice and cold water to help control the inflammation caused by the DHT.

I recommend you to use Laticort losion. It helps my burning in seconds.

I use it once in every 3 days after shower(dry hair).
