    Default My experience w/ SMP tricopigmentation w/ pics - Dr Gabel in Portland, OR

    Underwent temporary SMP tricopigmentation last week. Dr Gabel completed the 2-day procedure personally: two sessions on consecutive days (approx. 2 hours each) with a third to be completed next month for fill-ins. Results were impressive. For the first time in 15 years, I have an identifiable hairline & it looks absolutely authentic. It’s difficult to tell where my own hair begins & the pigments start, even when examining the scalp closely from a few inches away in the mirror. I expected scabs, but there were none, just mild soreness/redness. The procedure itself felt like tickling/combing against my scalp (Dr Gabel is an MD, & can prescribe a light pain reliever if needed – in my case, Vicodin). Went back to work the day after the second session with no problems. The redness had virtually disappeared.

    I’d recommend the procedure as great economical non-surgical option. The pictures of my procedure speak volumes to Dr Gabel’s work. The staff were very helpful & hospitable… even offered snacks!

    That looks fantastic - great hairline placement. Thanks for taking the time to put together your video. It really allows us to see how nicely it turned out.

    Default Thank you

    Thanks. There's a few SMP clinics in Seattle, but I was mostly unimpressed the unrealistic hairlines I saw online (maybe not all are like that. This wasnt an extensive review). Blows my mind some of the butchered jobs out there - they scare people away. I think it's important to get the word out that this can be done professionally in a realistic manner as long as you do your due diligence.

    Hi Greg

    First off, let me say once again how great your finished result looks. A lot of the results I see on fair-skinned guys when I research look ridiculous. Yours, however, looks fabulous. I guess its not surprising that a top-flight HT surgeon is going to be able to produce a realistic looking result. A couple of questions if you don't mind;

    1. Assuming you want to keep your new look for the long-term, how will the eventual greying of your existing hair impact things?
    2. Are you still pleased with your new look? How is it holding up?

    Thanks

    It's essentially a very complicated temporary tattoo, so the ink used will be changed as my hair greys. I have full confidence in Gabel's aesthetic choices & am even going to have the hairline lowered slightly in subsequent visits. I am pale skinned, like you said & the effect is very subtle. I doubt the coloring will change much over the years &, in a way, it almost makes me ageless. I might add I've lost 15lbs since I got this done, primarily from weightlifting & dietary changes. That's a side effect, if there is one: a desire for ongoing self-improvement.

    No fading 4 months on. Very pleased.
