I am an Israeli living in Cape Town SA
I am subscribed to all Israeli health news channels and will definitely follow up and will update here.
Google translate gave an idea of what was written but didn't translate the part where they use synthetic biology for this process and as far as I understand they use the shell of a dead virus to penetrate the follicle and inside the shell they store some blocker .
This is what I pick up . on t big on science stuff.
If the are successful in Boston we will all know about it .

According to tgr article the comb is being used as a vehicle for the medicine. It helps it get to the follicle. The medicine itself is something compldetly new. They don't reveal much info but I guess we will see more articles about this new technology in the near future .

Surely they must have had to do a clinical trial for it? Is there a clinical trials page for Israel?

Yes sounds like a new drug, and a better vehicle to directly target the follicles. So it's sounds really interesting.

And especially when it's coming from the Technion Institute, it could be huge in my opinion

we're not talking about pilox, right? because pilox was said to also origin from the technion. and we all know that pilox is scam or at least a useless product so far.

so this 3d printed comb is something different?
and if it's a comb, why does it habe to be 3d printed?

hairbear, as native Israeli, wouldn't it be possible for you to reach out to those guys, to find out more details?

"Technion-Israel Institute of Technology is one of the most important centres of knowledge and innovation in the world.
for Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, which is ranked among the world’s leading science and technology universities."

8 of some inventions from technion: (article: http://notable.ca/8-life-changing-in...u-should-care/ )

. Memory Sticks USB Flash Drive
You’ve lost at least 12 of these. Invented by Technion alumnus Dov Moran, M-systems

    . Ziv-Lempel Data Compression Algorithm
Whether you know it or not, you use this everyday. Think: PDF, JPG, TIFF, PNG, and ZIP file formats. Oh, and this data compression algorithm has also come in handy for our friends at NASA.

    . Azilect
For treating early-stage Parkinson’s, this medicine was developed by Profs. Moussa Youdim and John Finberg at the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine together with Teva Pharmaceuticals

. A Breath Test for Cancer Diagnosis
Yes, you read that right. Thanks to Hossam Haick this checkpoint gives a whole new meaning to the word breathalyzer. He is now taking it a step further by incorporating this technology with smartphones. That’s right, a phone that can sniff out cancer

    . ReWalk Robotics
Amit Goffer, a Technion grad and CEO of ReWalk Robotics, designed a robotic suit that enables paraplegics to walk, drive, and (seriously) even run marathons.

    . Instant Messaging/ICQ

    . Pill Cam
This is a pill with a camera inside that can be swallowed and projected to a screen allowing doctors to see inside a patient’s intestine. Turns out you are what you eat.

    . InSightec
A surgery that uses non-invasive ultrasound to replace the surgeon’s knife through the innovative determination of Technion graduate, Dr. Kobi Vortman.

Hey Joachim , it's clearly not pilox as they're talking about a new drug here and 3D printing
And as I remember the inventor of pilox was a former technion student/professor, that was not a technion program
