Gaining back hair from 1-2 years ago?

Hi, I've been losing hair since I turned 16 (at least when I noticed, will post pics), currently 17, and it's been about a year and a half, do you think Dutasteride would be able to recover most of my hair from this time frame? I'm a diffuse thinner with thinning sides and back of my head along with receding hairline (I believe I'm retrograde alopecia), it got really aggressive this summer, and since January of this year it wasn't too bad until this summer in June when it really fell bottom. I'd like to also note that my regime is only rogaine at the moment (two months, have seen really impressive results but I'm hoping to get on nizoral and dutasteride.) Has anyone had recent hair loss (maybe 3 years or less) that has gotten back most to all of their density and recovered? My hair is pretty long so it's a bit hard to cover areas with the foam but I usually get it covered.
