Default Am I slowly losing it? 18 and worried.

Hello everyone, I'd appreciate some feedback on this post😊

My hair has always been thick and healthy and I used to keep it reasonably long to cover up surgical scars on my lower skull.

After going for a change in style and getting quite a short cut 9 months ago, I noticed a little bit of scalp showing at the crown. No where else was affected but the little patch at the top and my doctor put it down to exam stress. Since then however I've convinced myself that I have the beginnings of a receding hairline and thinning hair.

As someone who suffers from mild OCD, I'm compulsively comparing my hairline and density other men and I scrutinise my hair for far too many hours during the day. It's really driving me mad.

I've enclosed pictures of myself, the first one back in November and the next group taken 9 days ago (the more recent ones are unstyled, unwashed, just after waking up for work lol).

I'd really love some advice on what I can do or if I even am losing it...basically someone to tell me it's all gonna be okay lol.

Could you pull back the fringe for us? I think your crown looks really solid.

Your hair looks thick and I don't see the reason to worry about it. We are not professionals here, so our opinions could be sometimes mistaken. If you have concerns, consult a dermatologist or better trichologist.

It's not so much the crown which concerns me now, it's that I'm thinning a bit on top and the temples are retreating. Running my hand through my hair it feels less dense and life full than before, and it rarely sits well nowadays. Click image for larger version
