How to estimate further hair loss?
Hi,
is it possible to estimate further hair loss by looking to hair of relatives? I'm 22 and nearly going to a NW3. I want a hair transplantation to get back NW2(that's enough for me).
But for that of course I need to know how my hair loss will keep going on.
My maternal grandpa said he was nearly bald in my age.
My paternal grandpa(age 76) is NW4.
Both maternal uncles are NW3.
My dad is NW3.
For me my hair structure and forehead looks very similar to my dad. We also nearly have the same hair cut to hide our temples. My face looks like a combination from my dad and one of my uncles.
Is it possible that I inherit my hairloss from my dad?

It's all guess work bud. Id say you can have a pretty good indication by looking at your relatives but even then, it's in no way a dear cert that's how you'll go. Some guy's lose barely any hair while their brother loses it all and vice versa.
It's a balding lottery and no one knows what numbers are coming.

Hi jiggo,
You are right, hair loss is a genetic problem, however there are other factors that can affect your hair and make it worse than your dad has. 'Not giving up' is absolutely right, it is a lottery.
