Stupid question: transplant hair from another donor?
Ok we know it's impossible, unless take terrific side effects drugs, or unless you have a twin^^
But with progress of biotechnology and targeting cells drugs, wouldn't be possible in future for researchers to find a way for an immunosupressive drug that prevent rejection to just act around the hair follicles roots without go systemic and let us without any side effects?
I see progress on immunosuppressive drugs that currently target specific cells, and I see progress on biotechnology, nanotechnology and nanoshells, etc..
so what i'm wondering is , does that kind of progress on immuno drugs delivery will come sooner than the solution for complete hair regeneration? Well there's a good probability no?
Anyone's specialist about scientist predictions for near future regarding organs transplants? haha

let's say they find a method to only locally supress the immune reaction on the follicles and you can transplant from other donors.
the remaining problem: once implanted, you have to take the supressive drugs for the whole lifetime. even if there comes a cure in 10 to 15 years, you can't switch to that cure because you will not have a real chance to remove all the foreign-donor cells anymore to clean your scalp. it's foreign DNA you introduced into your scalp, and to remove ALL the follicles and every single cell is practically impossible. for life-saving organ transplants you will of course gladly accept the burden of taking the trugs forever, but for hair it's a different story, isn't it?

People get their organs removed if they get rejected
Imagine just one follicle getting rejected. Say goodbye to a good piece of your scalp and welcome to legit facial deformity

Yes of course you're right, but it was just if supposing they find a way targeting follicle, without ANY side effects of course. If with progress, they find the delivery solution for ZERO side effects, we wouldn't mind to take the drug in long term to maintain our beautiful 10000 grafts x)
And for the cure we wouldn't care as much cause we would already have hair we would just have to continue to take that ZERO side effect drug, instead of spent other thousand dollars to have the cure done. ( thousands dollars that we already spent for our big HT from a donor haha)
Well of course it's sound weird and it's like a dream, but I suspect that progess of researchers for drugs targeting and playing their role only where they want without affecting elsewhere the body, I think that kind of stuff from researchers could come sooner than the real solution to create new functional follicle
