Considering hair transplant with Dr. Feriduni .. low donor density .. need advice ?

Hi All,

I am a 27yo male and have been suffering from hair loss for over 10 years now. I have very fine hard to maintain hair and they have never looked good all my life. Now, I am finally considering a hair transplant with Dr. Feriduni after having reading such awesome reviews.

However, he told me that I can never get a full head of hair given my low density and I will need to keep getting hair transplants many times in my life to maintain a natural look. I have attached my photos. I need advice on what to do ?

what are my best options . Can finasteride or something else help me ?

When you have a week or 2 holidays try buzzing it .
See if you can handle it . If not , by the time your holidays are over it will grow back

Go on finasteride...you might be surprised at the results in the crown after a year. Then go and see feriduni again, see what he says.

Also, when I was 27 my hairloss bothered a lot more than it does at 37 (but yeah it still bothered me.) Also, on the plus side you have dark toned skin, so you will look decent shaved, even if you dont think you do, everyone else probably thinks you do.

I am Dr Feriduni's patient advisor.

Possibly we have spoken already via email however I don't recognise your pictures. However despite the pics being a little hazy it is evident you have a potentially large loss pattern and your hair loss is diffuse and unstable. Prior to embarking on a HT it is important to understand that unfortunately hair loss is progressive and without medical therapy in place such as finasteride and minoxidil to strengthen and stabilise the situation it is potentially a very high risk stratergy to venture into a HT given your situation. Also the key to successful HT is also about the supply meeting the demand and based on the pics loaded here your donor supply unfortunately doesn't look too strong ( However could well be the quality of the pictures )

I often use the analogy that if a builder is going to build an impressive strong wall to stand the test of time - He must build it on a foundation.

I would assume Dr Feriduni has recommended you do a course of 12 months of medical therapy to help stabilise your current situation and then resubmit pictures for review.

If you commit to medical therapy, you may do well. You seem to understand that you won't see great coverage, but you may be able to style it and see an improvement. Just know that the back can get much worse so keep the hairline at its current location.

Hi man, I'm quite in the same situation as you at 27 too.

did you see him in person? to evaluate your donor area? or is it by a mail evaluation?

Did he tell you how much grafts are available from your donor?
And how many he will take for a first transplant if you decide to go this route?

I think it's a good idea to buzz it down and see how propecia work for you during one year. If you stabilize your hair loss, you could go for a HT and maybe think about an option with a ht in combination with smp or bht for a buzz cut look.

Other questions , did you ever take an Accutane treatment for acne ?
Do you smoke? Do you have a good diet or take vitamins?
Any médications like anti depressant or as strong?
Do you do musculation?
Any others things that you think it is making your hair worse?
Cause maybe it could have a factor that speed up your MPB,and aggravate your donor area. If you change that factor, it's a plus if you decide to go for a ht in future
