Default 1 year on generic Fin results. Thoughts please!

    Hi All

As some of you may remember, I had a HT in late 2013. I experienced quite bad shock loss in my crown area even tho the transplanted hairs were for my temples. I decided to start generic Fin in June 2014. I have been on the generic version from inhouse pharmacy. I have attached the June 2014 and June 2015 pics. I'm obviously going to have a bias with regards to improvement so I was wondering if anyone could comment on the result after one year. Personally I'm moderately pleased however I still have slightly bald areas as opposed to new hairs filling these in a bit. I was also wondering if there is an argument for going on prescription propecia as opposed to buying the pills off the net? Inhouse seems to have a good rep but ultimately we can't be 100% sure about what we are purchasing online.

    Many thanks
    J

    Congratulations Jairus!
Your result is visible and it is not so bad. The significant hair regrowth is seen in your crown area and it seems that the quality of hair has improved. It looks more thick and healthy.

I also use generic version of fin and agree that there is no need to pay much for original pills that are extremely expensive. By the way, how much do you pay for a month supply?

I don't know if it's just me, and I hate to sound like an a*s, but I am not sure I see notable improvement. It just seems that way because your hair is longer? Either way, doesn't look like you lost any either. So I would say it is a win!

Remember the main purpose of taking any medical therapy such as finasteride is to PREVENT further loss and help stabilise the situation. Regrowth is a bonus!

Hi Spencer, good to talk to you its been a while. I am attaching a pic from 4 months ago when I let me hair grow. In t first post I shaved my head with a number 3. As you can see in the pic below, my HT has worked out fantastically at the front. I see you represent Dr Feriduni Spex so I'm sure you will appreciate the great result. I'm considering going back for a second procedure to address the crown as it seems to be stabilized. I think I am paying about 40 Euro for 60 finpecia tablets. Would there be any point in going to 1.25mg per day? I think the extra dht suppression is negligible.

The pic from 2015 definitely looks better overall at all areas, but I am hesitant to say that it's 100% for sure better since it appears that your hair is longer.

Why don't you just go get on 100% legit finasteride though? It's fairly easy to get. Just google dermatologists in your area that advertise Propecia on their website. When you go bring up your hair...they will then 100% offer to prescribe Propecia. Once they do just tell them you've done a lot of research and you would like to get 5mg of fin. and split into 4. They may fight back a bit, but you'll probably get it if you're persistent. Then get it for $9 for a 4 month supply at Walmart. Super cheap and effective. Plus you know it's legit. That's what I did about 10 months ago. Good luck.
