Default Worried about balding (pics included)

So I suffer from major OCD and now I'm fixated on balding. I don't really care if I'am balding but I just need to know honestly.

This is when its pushed back really hard. (this is the picture that worries me)

Now some info. My dad is a NW2 so is his father. I don't know how long he has been that way but he's 55. My mom and my brother both have a widows peak (my brother is 12 and my mom is 55). My mom's father had no hair loss. Also I don't know if I was born with a widows peak but like I said my brother and mother were born with one, don't know about my dad though.

If the pictures don't show up normally here they are through a link.

Great pics! What age are you? Your hairline looks that of a normal teen. There is very little if ANY loss of hair. Many people would kill to have hair as thick as yours. You may lose some later in life (most people do) but i'd imagine the max you will go is early NW.

Thanks, I'm 18 which is what worries me (especially the last picture. I'm going to a derma soon just to make sure). My dad though has been NW2 for the longest time though even before I was born and he's 55 now. I can safely say that I was born with a widows peak looking back at baby pictures. There just seems so much potential causes to my hair loss. I have really long hair and I literally have it tied 24/7 (except when washing my hair) for the past 2 years. Also for the past 1 year I have been under so much stress due to my BDD and keep fluctuating in weight. Anyway thank you a lot any other replies are welcome!

Even if you do lose to a NW2, you wont have any big problems. You could easily get a hair transplant if it comes to that. All odds in your favor.

    HELLO NewGG!!
Im very glad that you connected with 'us' here on THIS great forum, 'Bald Truth Talk' .

You are at the RIGHT forum to get commonsense advice and/or help!!

    IrishFella' was correct.
Your head of hair looks GOOD!
You mentioned that you are somewhat worried at the age of 18 years old.
That is ONLY because , due to your AGE, you are allowing emotions and innuendo to affect your thoughts and your feelings bro!
At the age of 18 ,you have no worries,,and you never should, but, I want you to understand this info ASAP because if you accept this FACT then you will look at your life and your future in a commonsense and CALM way.
You and others your age, being ONLY 18 years old, does make you all incredibly naive.

None of you can 'see around corners' because your brain is not fully GROWN as yet.
This is NOT meant as an insult or condescending. Please know that I am trying to help you now.
This is a real medical truth, and it is ANATOMICALLY CORRECT about all very young humans.
The LAST part of your brain that fully grows is your Neo-cortex .
The Neo-cortex finishes growing in your brain and working correctly at approximately the age of your mid-20s.
Once that happens you will have TRUE FORESIGHT, INSIGHT and the ability to predict the consequences of your actions.

At this point in time , you dont have 100% of that ability as yet. (you WILL when your older)
Emotions ,stress and depression can and would take over your life only based on innuendo WORRY and non-facts.

My point is this, you must listen to and CONSIDER all the positive responses and advices given to you here.
A good percentage of us older members here are intelligent enough and have plenty of WISDOM to help you and others, BY using commonsense and objectivity.
We wont tell you things JUST to make you feel better.

Now to speak about your photos-
Your head of hair LOOKS GOOD!- NO ISSUES as yet(and maybe NEVER)
You have mentioned the 'last photo' as being a possible issue.
    It certainly is NOT.
That frontal hairline seems only to be 'misplaced' or it is just that those hairs in front are not held down with the rest of the hairs.
Your father as you said is ONLY at a NW2.

NW2 is NOT something that should concern or worry you if in fact your hair EVER goes that route later on in life.
It is QUITE POSSIBLE that you will ONLY experience a 'Maturing' of your hair and thats ALL.
Of course, its possible that you may experience loss like your fathers or more than that.
You and no one else really knows and so you cannot focus on it.

If you continue to unnecessarily focus on hairloss and then worry about it then STRESS will occur and when that happens,,
you WILL, more than likely, experience hair loss.
STRESS WILL DO THAT. Regardless of your genetics.

Cheers NewGG. hang around with us and consider what I have been saying to you ,,I do CARE!!
