Default Would this have been alopecia areata

8 months ago I developed pain on one side of my head, burning and inflammation that last 4-5 months. It wrecked the left hairline and behind. I some times still get sharp pains in this area. When it started, I also developed a rash under my armpit, a stye in my left eye, and it was all only on the left side of my body.

Is there anyway that maybe my immune system went haywire and I developed alopecia areata?

I'm on finasteride and was on for 1 year when this happened.
