How many studies does pilofocus have to do? Does it have to go through phase 1, phase 2, phase 3?

No it just needs FDA approval which it should get this year. Then the technique for getting the best donor regeneration will have to be refined by doctors using it, but the science is definitely there in its favor.

Call this short sighted but the Spanish aren't exactly well known for their scientific advances. The country is completely broke. I know it's not completely fair to generalise in this way but ask yourself, would you feel more confident paying for a treatment from US, Germany, Japan or a third world county or failed EU state ?

Your right it could be a scam but if it's true and he did just extract from that rectangular area, at 2000 grafts you would be able to see it thinning.

I just visited their website (Spanish is my firts language) and it looks almost funny.
I'm sorry but this is clearly a hair transplant clinic claiming to have a method that is most likely a simple FUE
They even make a comment about people in the U.S. Calling them scammers because the Americans are envy of an small Spanish practice which is typical scammers speech if you ask me

But to be fair if you had 2000 grafts taken from a small area could you not simply prove or disprove it? Like I would be happy to do that. You could just put all the rest of the donor area in pony tails and make it impossible to tamper with and then you would know only that zone was touched.

I'm fairly sure they will take it from a small area like in that picture because they need to keep coming back to look at the health of that donor hair. Hell I would even just take a friend with me and make sure they only work on that area, simple. It can't be that hard to prove it or not.

As for HSI they extract like they would with fue, along the whole safe donor area. And tbf I would want that if they don't know how much will grow back. So this could be easier to find out if it works or not.

Needhairasap, it is looking more and more like Piloscopy may be the best thing coming for the next 5 - 10 years *if* it produces 100% regeneration or thereabouts.

Probably not 100%, but potentially very high. We will have to wait and see, but there is 3rd party research supporting what Dr. Wesley is doing. Furthermore, piloscopy should be able to produce better results than the linked study for various reasons discussed in this thread.
