Just started rx keto 2% and it really dried my scalp out but got rid of the SD for now. Lost a few hairs which I'm guessing is because of the dryness. Going to try a conditioner with it next time. Aloe or something.

I think its the higher T or androgen receptors adapting to the lower DHT. Its just pure guessing though I mean there no science that supports those theories, but medicine is full of big holes like that. There is no real answer to a lot of those types of questions if a derm cant answer them

Exactly one year into finasteride, I developed an oily scalp, burning, itching, and of course hairloss. I drank beer one night and my head friggen hurt so much after like three sips. So anyway, there is no doubt that the hormonal change from being on finasteride can cause this. I've calmed it down with tea tree oil shampoo, but I still get itchy upon eating certain foods. I still take finasteride and have now been on for 1 year and 7 months.

Now my question, has anyone had any success with lowering the dosage or coming off the drug maybe? Or maybe skipping days in between?

    Thanks
