I realize it may not be entirely true. Regardless, it is hard not to become markedly depressed about hair loss sometimes.

Personally, I'd rather be bald and in relatively good shape. Barring any medical condition; maintaining a decent level of physical fitness (doesn't have to be ripped) is something you can control and improve upon for the rest of your life.
Like many of you here, I've scoured over hundreds of hair transplant photos and what gets me every time is a horribly out of shape person spending thousands of their hard earned dollars on a hair transplant when they devote very little time improving on other aspects of their appearance. In my mind it is the equivalent of putting really expensive rims on a crappy old car.
I'm not intending to be cruel or judgmental. I know as well as the next hair loss sufferer that hair loss can zap motivation to nothing. I can see how easy it might be for a person to develop the mentality that without hair getting or staying in shape is pointless.
As good as shape as you might be in, you're still bald/balding and that is something many people will not be able to look past..especially in the dating scene. Maybe the new hair and the confidence it will bring will be the spark that ignites the fire of personal change.

Just make sure you don't end up bald and fat, then your definately screwed.

Well there is one guy at work who's in his mid 30s and has been totally slick bald for years. But he has one hot wife! He has the best looking wife of anyone I know and he's just average looking. He keeps in shape too.
I'd say being in shape easily trumps baldness! I think most girls don't care as much as men think they do.

When I was 24 (and not balding yet) I used to work part-time - to finance my studies - at a big office space through a recruitment bureau. While I worked there, there was this girl/woman who was 7 olders than me and worked on the same floor. She was like ridiciously fit and she was dating this bald guy who worked at the same company. A year later after my contract expired, the recruitment bureau asked me back to work there and this time aorund she was dating another bald guy. Neither one of them were super-goodlooking.
Just to say; I'm pretty certain there are girls who don't like bald guys, while there are others who specifcally dig bald heads, while another kind don't seem to care at all.
We all prefer to be fat instead of bald because we can change being fat, not being bald.
But If I were to choose between a genetic disease which would't allow me to lose weight and being fat for the rest of my life, or the genetic disease that is mpb; I'd take baldness any day of the year. No doubt about it.

i am sure there are online dating sites for bald men, but theres probably a load of butt ugly women on them.

Ugly girls need love too you know... So do bald girls... Trust me when a girl has a problem with hair loss, she feels very ugly - even if she really isn't.
