How to repair Minoxidil dependent follicles?
Two years ago I used Minoxidil 15% (Lipogaine original formula) for about 6 months before needing to stop due to side effects. I used the dropper to apply 1mL twice a day on my right receding corner and back left crown area as I noticed more thinner hair in those two regions. I started noticing regrowth in a couple months, but after about 5 months I noticed thick hair growing on my face around my cheek bones. The thickness was similar to my beard hair and I also noticed a lot of forgetfulness, brain fog and elevated anxiety so I decided to stop cold without even tappering off. After a few months all the regrowth fell off and the areas applied appeared thinner. It has now been about two years and the two areas still remain a lot thinner with very little regrowth.
Could this be caused by the lipogaine and what can I do to recover and even out the density of my hair?

what are the ingredients in lipogaine apart from the minox?

I don't recall the difference between the original formula a couple years ago but this is the current formula:
Azetinol
Saw palmetto
Ketoconazole
Emu Oil
Retinol
Procyanidin Oligomers
GLA, ALA, Linoleic Acid and Oleic Acid

Your best bet is to hop back on a lower percentage minoxidil. That, combined with the fact that it won't have those other ingredients that may aid in absorption, means it shouldn't be getting systemic. Make sure to apply on a dry scalp. Also, make sure to wash your hands really good after applying, don't touch your hair for a while, and don't lay down for a while after applying, as that can contribute to the hair on your cheek.

Lipogaine is now 5% minox. My theory- which I can't substantiate - is that if you're getting systemic absorption from any topical then you are getting way more than enough as far as the scalp is concerned and should cut dosage by 1/2 then try again. Either apply less, just 1x per day or dilute in a PG/ethanol mix.

Hey i was using minox 5% until i started experiencing sides similar to what u describe. In my case it was like feeling my blood pressure is not stable, not fully breathing and anxiety. Not sur if all of it was actually due to the med or due to anxiety, however i had to stop minox due to that was getting scared. Now i am thinking of going back on 2% once a day see if it could work at least a bit, i had huge results on 5%.

Did you apply the 5% once or twice a day? Foam or liquid dropper?
