So it has been a good 4 months already! That happened very quickly. My hair looks pretty good but still iffy on the sides but it definitely looks better than before! Best part about that is that at least it hasn't progressed!

People are telling me "you look different" and all that. Feels good man.

I will post pictures of how it was and how it is now and then again later in a few months.

    Sides: None!

Concern:I may have one side that had started about 1 month ago. It wasn't sexual (I'm still horny as always and I've had morning wood everyday). It is constipation. Can propecia cause constipation some way!? This started a month ago and has persisted till now.

First of all, thanks for sharing your updates. I'm glad for you.

As about constipation, it is not mentioned finasteride to cause such side effects, however men frequently report it. I'd like to tell that constipation can be caused by other health conditions or treatment, and even by the food you are eating. One of the condition that is very common is hypothyroidism. You need to undergo a medical check up to determine the exact cause of constipation.

I've always leaned towards to vegetables and fruits rather than junk food, so I actually eat plenty of good soluble/non-soluble fibre. And, I make it a goal to drink 2L of water per day. The only thing that I can say that may promote to the constipation is my inactivity... I sit in class all day. However, constipation never occurred for me till now.

I don't take other drugs other than propecia and when I checked my TSH level 2 days ago it was in the same range it was pre-propecia. Honestly, the constipation didn't even come in levels it was just 1 day it turned into full-blow constipation where I won't have the urge to go to the bathroom 5/6 days but when I do it isn't as hard as it would be expected.

I want to try to reduce my propecia dosage to see how it affects it. What the best way though? 1pill every other day or 0.5pill per day? I just want to see the effect and then I'd probably go to the doctor if there was no difference.

Seems that there are cases of constipation connected to propecia:

I´m not an expert but i think it´s better if you juice your greens, fruits for more effect.

Wow this looks terrifying... I guess I'm going to stop propecia for a bit and see if anything improves. Should I wean off of it? Like half a tablet per day for a week before I stop completely?

Honestly having a working digestive system is a much bigger deal than the hair on top of my head (which is a big deal for me too but...).

Is there anything I can do to keep the hair I have on my head or at least slow the hair fall a bit without propecia?

I got used to green juicing now, but in the beginning when i juiced kale, spinach and celery your body gets a shock and the toilet is asap.
So i i´m quiet sure it will help you now and in long term also.
    Just google green juicing.

Thanks for the kind advice. But, I'm going to try a lower dose of propecia (or maybe stop for a bit) to see the effect of it on my constipation. I will use your juicing if needed though.

    Thanks!
