Default Anyone quit fin after scalp itch/inflammation?

Experienced a shed of 150-200 hairs in shower alone at one year mark on fin. A week into the shed, scalp felt super inflamed, itchy, oily hair, etc.. I stuck this out, but I shed about 30+ hairs in the shower still and still get itch in areas that I'm now thinning and losing hair at.

Has anyone quit and improved after such an episode. I'm having real trouble staying on this because I'm getting so bad.

I am a bit over 2 months in and I THINK my shedding may be going down. My scalp was itching and burning pretty bad, but last week I tried something that I BELIEVE helped. I do use nizoral twice a week in the shower, but, I started washing my hair over the sink with freezing cold water and a bit of nizoral... I don't know why, but I swear my head just stopped itching. Could just be a coincidence however...??? Throughout the year, has fin helped you from baseline?

Hey James, I actually read cold water is good for your scalp/hair. But in the whole first year on finasteride I experienced nothing at all but I we just trying to maintain. Then at one year mark had a huge shed, inflammed scalp, itching/stinging/burning. It has since calmed down but my hair is shedding like 30+ in the shower and hair line is totally eaten up.
