12% Minoxidill to 5%
I have been using 12% Minoxidill for the last 3 years. It also contains azelaic acid. I purchase this from the most well know 'hair loss specialists' in the UK and it costs me £57 per month. This is of course a lot of money.
I am tempted to switch to a 5% cheaper alternative. Is anyone able to advise as to whether this will cause me any problems switching to a lower percentage? I am worried that my body will be used to the 12% and hair loss will speed up dropping dose.
I am also very tempted to go down the propecia route!

Carefull! My guess you buy from The Belgravia Center? I use their 12.5% cream at night and paying for the whole year is cheaper than paying monthly!
Never buy Propecia from The Belgravia! Where are you from the UK? I cn help guide you where to buy legit propecia cheapest In the UK!

12% minoxidil is not better than 5%! Propylene glycol can only dissolve 7.5% minox, and the solution has to be less than that as some of the vehicle evaporates, comes in contact with moisture on the scalp etc.

the higher percent minox has to be made into creams not liquids. and you are right, 8% is the cut off, otherwise it will just crystallize out of solution. i have witnessed it myself with a 10% compounded minox solution, but the pharmacist did warn me.
the 12% minox i use now, is a cream.
