    Questions about hairline

    1) Is it normal for a non balding head, say NW 1-1.5(that is say consistent without change for 3-4 years) to have miniaturized hairs at the very leading edge of of the hairline? Or in general, no matter how the shape of hairline is, is it normal to have miniaturized hairs at the very leading edge?

    2) Can hairlines be genetic traits? My grandfather's hair receded a little when he was 15 but stayed like that till he was 50 when he started balding and my father also followed the same. So can teenage hairline or non balding hairline be a genetic trait?

Frontals have more miniaturized hair than the rest of the part. U r noticing it at very leading edge because that is the easily observable area. U can find something related to this on Dr.rassman's balding blog.

Thank you for the reply Dr. Rashid. I asked the first question because my friends have such minaturized non vellus hairs at the very leading edge of the hairline an hairline corners. I see many women having it too. Since you said this is normal, shouldn't one look for miniaturisation beyond the leading edge, and if so, how far into?

Oh thank you for clarifying doc. I now have a better understanding. I guess the leading edge hairline and leading edge hairline corners miniaturized hairs are like a transition zone to a thicker line of hair. Thank you for the clarification sir

Going by the same reasoning, if you were to check the of a NW3 with a leading edge(hairline and corner) miniaturisation but extremely thick hair every where else would you say his /her hairloss has stabilised for that point of time?

                  1) Yeah, as Dr.Rashid said, it is normal. Yesterday I saw an older guy (20-21) sitting next to me with a thick head of hair. He had miniaturized hairs all along his leading edge. Info on this is also there on baldingblog
                  2) Yeah,
