would 1500 grafts help me restore? *Pics*

Hey guys, I am hesitating getting a transplant because I want to use Rahal or a turkey doc, but I've only done photo consults and I feel that when I finally get to the clinic, it will be more and I can't afford it . Anyway, I have a very pronounced widows peak but it doesn't look bad on me even with hair cut short because my face is long. So, I don't really want to lower my hairline too much. Just come maybe a quarter of an inch below or so and then thicken my actual hairline and behind. I'm sick of worrying about my hairline moving back!

Here are some pics.. i highlighted the thinning that id like to restore as well as come like a quarter of an inch lower in the temples.. i still would like to keep the peak because i want to save grafts for further loss later in life. (im on proscar)

in my opinion (based on 5 fue's already) I think if your not going to be too greedy and only stick with the area you are showing then as little as 800 FUE (if you use someone like Dr Woods) will be ok

If you go to Rahal then he will use 1500 but in answer to your question yes 1500 will be more than enough. I personally do not think you should waste this many grafts on your first procedure in such a small area

I personally wouldnt ever use Rahal, Over the years i have seen some bad results from him. I will not suggest any one doctor but based on my experience over the years the following are worth checking out

Dr Woods Australia (i have used him in the past with decent results)
Dr Cole USA (he has been around since the start of FUE and has trained many doctors)
Dr Zontos Denmark (I had surgery with him last week so am waiting for results)
Dr Bhatti in india (have been reading some good things about him)

there are others. These guys only do FUE and i would rather go to a FUE specialist rather than someone who does both. The way i see it is the more surgeries they have done the better they should become at it

    Hope this helps

Hey, thanks for that reply as it did help a lot. I was actually contemplating dr cole, but also gave dr Erdogan in turkey a lot of thought. Have you heard of dr Erdogan and his hairline results at all? I'm trying to avoid a pluggy look since its my hairline. I actually heard cole does a no shave fue. I'd rather not shave my recipient site if possible so that definitely appeals. Do you know how much cole charges?

$8 per graft but more (I think $10) for unshaven.
I would recommend Cole I had a very solid, natural result from him. I have consulted with Rahal and have been very impressed with how they dealt with me, plus they have their own clinic accommodation which I think is a very good selling point if you want some discretion during your immediate recovery. I have not seen any bad results from him unlike morelocks though?

I just got a message from Cole's office that they are doing $6 grafts shaven this summer. tell them $5 or even $4. Worth a shot. I wonder you could get away with just shaven that donor. Ask.

Hicks, that's crazy because I also got an email! They claimed they emailed me and said that I never got back to them? Haha I never got a response! 6$ is really good. I'm definitely going to ask if I shave if they could do 2000 grafts for 10000 flat. I'll let you guys know!

Just say $10k is your budget. Even if you paid for 1500 USUALLY a Dr. will add more grafts if needed. It's not like ok, that's 1000 grafts. I know Cole wants to be perfect. Can't say that will happen.

Summer months seem to be slow. I got the same email last year.

I had my HT done with Cole about 15 months ago and I couldn't be happier. The office is crap but Cole is a great guy. he is blunt. it's like you're going to a mechanics shop than a Dr.s office. I like that because I don't need a hug just hair I think I need another pass of 1000-1500 grafts but I'm diffused thinning and I need to treat my donor like gold. Also I had PRP and ACell. His website claims regeneration of donor hair follicles, which currently averages around 50%. IMO that is bonus.

I'll be getting PRP with ACell in 4 months from Cole. actually I should call and see if they would drop that price for the summer months.
