You look for signs.

I wrote this to you on April 25:

"How is your fathers hair? Does your mother got any uncles, how are their hair, and what about your mothers father?
Any older pictures, have your hair always been that way?

Small hairs in the front?"

So, for example, if all the males in your family are bald, it is very likely you will become bald as well.
A sign for at very least continued receding is small hairs in the front.
Other than that keep an eye on it.
