Freestyle Music Park in Myrtle Beach, S.C., ran a TV ad showing a man’s toupee flying off on its 150-foot-tall roller coaster. Dennis Murphy, owner of a nearby hair-replacement store, couldn’t wait to prove the amusement park’s ad wrong by testing the roller coaster himself. Sure enough, Murphy’s brownish-gray hairpiece stayed snug on his head throughout the ride and showed signs only of being tousled by a strong wind. “It just blows in the breeze,” a pleased Murphy said afterward. The store owner said he doesn’t think the park will pull the advertisement, but that’s okay with him.
