its not fake its just good lighting... the dark scalp from the SMP makes the hair look fuller

If not fake misleading.
I would expect to see what it looks like under different lightning and angles.
And who the heck knows if it's fake or not :P

I know some SMP artist actually don't wash the residue pigment out and will look fuller till you wash it a few days later. It also could be toppic.

At our shop we encourage our clients to embrace their baldness, but don't have to live with it. Scalp Micropigmentation or SMP has come a long, long way and customers are satisfied with the results, even myself, and I would rather have this look then hair plugs, hair transplants that may or may not work and cause scarring, etc. With ANY type of permanent makeup procedure or scalp Micropigmentation or SMP treatment, the providers knowledge and experience is what counts!
This industry still needs to grow and I know of a lot of new implements, machines and pigments coming out in the marketplace over the next few years...be on the lookout.
Just my 2 Cents!
I've been following SMP for awhile and have noticed a lot of improvement in the practitioners skill level. There's a lot more emphasis on soft and natural hairlines and side profiles. It seemed back in the day everyone got a super straight, dense hairline that looked good on some and bad on others. The treatment seems to be more tailored to each individual now, which is a good thing.
I'm curious tbarbone, what sorts of improvements have you heard about? I'm heavily considering getting this treatment done, but would hate to get it then find out a new better process / technique has come out. Do you have any links or more info on the new pigments and machines you're talking about. Thanks.
