Wrong needles were used (too think), placement was too deep (mid to low dermis instead of upper dermis), ink was used rather than pigments, etc. Only recently has the industry changed. At our shop we encourage our clients to embrace their baldness, but don't have to live with it. Scalp Micropigmentation or SMP has come a long, long way and customers are satisfied with the results, even myself, and I would rather have this look then hair plugs, hair transplants that may or may not work and cause scarring, etc. With ANY type of permanent makeup procedure or scalp Micropigmentation or SMP treatment, the providers knowledge and experience is what counts!
This industry still needs to grow and I know of a lot of new implements, machines and pigments coming out in the marketplace over the next few years...be on the lookout.
Just my 2 Cents!
I'm curious tbarbone, what sorts of improvements have you heard about? I'm heavily considering getting this treatment done, but would hate to get it then find out a new better process / technique has come out. Do you have any links or more info on the new pigments and machines you're talking about. Thanks.Comment
